Since 1980 we have accumulated over 211,000 unsolved homicides

This website location was designed as a medium to facilitate the gathering of data to help us resolve more homicides with an emphasis on cold cases.

Welcome, my name is Jim Adcock, PhD. I have over 40 years of experience that includes being a retired US Army CID Agent (20 Years); a Chief Deputy Coroner for Investigations (7 years) and a former tenured professor at the University of New Haven (11 years) plus three more years teaching at the university level.

While I am basically retired, I have been involved with the cold case process, both for training and consultations, since 1998. I continue to remain active with police training and providing forensic consultations to various organizations both in the United States and the Netherlands. I have also written two books: one on Cold Cases and the other on Death Investigation. To further this end of resolving more homicides, I am also a member of the NIJ Cold Case Working Group* that periodically meets throughout the year to discuss what can be done and how we can all contribute to our goal of solving more cases.

If you have been contacted by me requesting cold case data please respond as soon as possible.

However, should you have any questions or want to know more about me and my research, please email me at: JimAdcockPhD@Researching-Cold-Cases.org.

Thank you.

Jim Adcock, PhD
